If you’re a kid in band, here’s an opportunity you don’t want to pass up. Young bands (members ages 5 to 17 years old) can compete in the first Music for A Cure’s Rock It OC, a battle of the bands, by submitting video entries by Friday. Finalists will play a 15-minute live set during the July 17 concert from 2 to 4 p.m. at South Coast Plaza’s Garden Terrace.
The winning band will get a chance to make a professional music video and record one song. What’s even better, the contest will raise money for Music for A Cure’s therapeutic music programs for critically ill children at children’s hospitals. Submit videos to events@musicforacure.org. All entries will be posted on YouTube, and finalists will be announced on June 24.
Sponsorship opportunities are available, from $100 Gold Album to $1,000 Diamond Album sponsors.
